Adrian Mc Donald

Under Adrian’s direction since January 2004, EMC UK & Ireland has accelerated market share growth in information lifecycle management (ILM) solutions and firmly established itself as a key contributor to EMC’s international revenues. Through the integration of numerous acquisitions into the local EMC operation (Documentum, Legato, SMARTS and Dantz amongst others), Adrian has spearheaded the embrace of ILM by EMC customers across the Commercial and Public sectors, helping them to get the maximum value from their information, at the lowest total cost, at every point in the information life cycle.

Since joining EMC in 1988, Adrian has held a variety of domestic, international and global positions at EMC. During the 1990s, Adrian helped establish and then ran many of EMC’s international subsidiaries. After successfully running individual country operations, in 2000 Adrian was appointed Vice President and took control of EMC’s Germany, East Europe, Middle East and Africa region. After a long and successful European tour, Adrian then moved to EMC’s headquarters in Boston to take up a further challenge - that of establishing and managing the successful global partnership between EMC and Dell, which is now a multi-billion dollar relationship for EMC Corporation. In late 2003 Adrian took the opportunity to return to the UK, moving to London, to take up his present post.

Adrian holds a BA Honours degree in History and Politics from Warwick University and is an alumni of Columbia Business School.
